FAQ

A few things,
made clear.

What Split Next Lane does, what it doesn’t, and how pricing works. Can’t find your question? Ask us.

The product

Is this a CRM or a dispatch operations platform?

Split Next Lane focuses on carrier sales: finding leads, managing ownership, recording calls, and planning follow-ups. It is not a load management system.

Can I see what my SDRs are doing?

Yes. Your dashboard shows every SDR’s leads, overdue follow-ups and latest action, refreshed every minute, against the weekly and monthly goals you set for them. Reports break down leads worked, qualified and signed per person. It tracks the work they log, never their screen, device or location.

Do you help us get set up?

Yes. Every page has a guided tour the first time you open it, and its own written guide. When you need us, send a support ticket from inside the CRM or email support, and suggest features from Help: the team reads every suggestion.

Can I try the product shown here?

Yes. Start a 7-day free trial of Core, no card today. The side panel is included.

What does a sales CRM for a dispatch agency do?

It keeps the work of selling dispatch service to carriers in one place: which carriers to call, who owns each lead, what happened on every call and when to follow up. SplitNextLane adds carrier records built in, a live view of every SDR’s work against their goals, and a Chrome side panel that keeps the lead beside your dialer.

Who is it for?

Truck dispatch agencies that sell their service to US carriers. Managers assign carrier leads and watch the team’s work; SDRs work their assigned carriers, record what happened, and plan the next follow-up.

Can I call carriers from inside Split Next Lane?

Calls happen on your own phone or dialer. The side panel sits beside a dialer in Chrome and types the number for you; Split Next Lane keeps the record: log each outcome, such as no answer, voicemail or a callback request, add notes, and plan the next follow-up.

What happens when a carrier signs?

Mark the lead signed: a contract record is created and your Manager is notified. The Manager acknowledges the handoff, so nothing is lost between the sales desk and the people who will dispatch the carrier.

Can I bring in my own leads from a spreadsheet?

Not in this version. Split Next Lane fills your workspace from our carrier records, and you choose which carriers become your leads. There is no import yet and no way to type in a lead by hand. Carrier Search holds for-hire freight carriers, so brokers, movers and passenger carriers are not in it. If a carrier in your spreadsheet is there, you will find it in Carrier Search by its DOT number and can add it to your leads; your old notes would need to be added by hand.

How do I learn the product, and can I suggest a feature?

Each page shows a short tour the first time you open it, and Help, at the bottom of the menu, replays it and opens that page’s guide. Help also has Suggest a feature: tell us what you would like and why, and we read every suggestion.

The side panel

Which dialers does the side panel work with?

Any dialer you use in a Chrome tab. Every key copies the number or message, and with “Shortcuts also type at the cursor” on, it also types it where your cursor is, as a paste would. With a desktop dialer, or on a page Chrome protects, the key copies and you paste. With a desk phone or a mobile, the panel still shows the numbers and logs the call.

What does the side panel do?

It puts the lead you are working in a Chrome side panel beside your dialer: the carrier, its numbers, one-click call outcomes, your text templates and notes. Keys type the lead’s number where your cursor is, log the call and open the next lead, so your hands stay on the dialer. Everything you log lands in the CRM at once.

How do I install the side panel?

Add it to Chrome, open your dialer’s tab and press the extension’s icon: the panel opens on that tab and finds your workspace from your Split Next Lane sign-in. The Install the side panel guide has every step.

What does the side panel not do?

It does not read, control or automate your dialer or any other website or software, and it sends nothing on your behalf. It never presses Call or Send. When you press one of its keys, it copies the number or message and, if you have that setting on, types it where your cursor is. How you use your dialer is your choice and subject to your dialer’s own terms.

What are the keys?

Alt+Shift+K types or copies the lead’s number, Alt+Shift+M the text message, Alt+Shift+. opens the next lead and Alt+Shift+, the previous one. Logging a call (no answer, voicemail, interested, not interested, wrong number), the next number, the next template and the next follow-up have no key until you choose one in Chrome’s shortcut settings. Every key can be changed there.

Does the side panel cost extra?

No. It is part of Core, for every user in your workspace.

Pricing, trial and billing

What does it cost?

Core is $20 a month at the founder price ($30 list), with 5 users included. Extra users are $5 a month each at the founder price ($10 list). Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax.

What is founder pricing?

Customers who subscribe during the launch offer keep the founder price for as long as they stay subscribed, including when they add users. If you cancel and return later, you pay whatever price applies then.

What does the free trial include?

Everything in Core for 7 days: Carrier Search, leads and follow-ups, the team view, reports and the side panel, for up to 5 users. No card is needed to start. Choose Core before the trial ends to keep working.

Can I get a refund?

No. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires it, so use the 7-day free trial, with no card, to try Split Next Lane first. You can cancel any time: you keep access to the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again, and a charge made in error, such as a duplicate, is always put right.

What happens if I add or remove users mid-month?

Added users start at once and are charged for the rest of the billing period. Removing users takes effect at the end of the period: everything keeps working until then.

Do you offer annual billing?

Not yet. Billing is monthly.

Carrier data

Do I still need a lead list, a lookup site or a scraper?

No. Carrier Search holds more than 120,000 active for-hire freight carriers, already gathered, filtered and cleaned by our data pipeline into one record per carrier, and refreshed daily. Filter by authority date, state, fleet size, truck type or contact details, then add carriers straight to your pipeline. There are no per-lead fees.

Are carrier records exclusive leads?

No. Every workspace searches the same carrier records. Assignment organizes your team’s ownership inside your workspace; it does not make a carrier exclusive to you.

How do dispatch agencies find carriers to sign without a scraper?

In SplitNextLane they open Carrier Search, which already holds the active for-hire freight carriers from public government records, cleaned and combined into one record each and refreshed daily. Filter by the date authority was first granted, state, fleet size, truck type or contact details, then add the carriers you want to your pipeline.

Where does the carrier data come from, and how fresh is it?

From public government records: the national carrier registry and its census, each carrier’s operating-authority history, and roadside inspection records. Our data pipeline keeps the for-hire freight carriers with active authority, cleans out junk values and combines everything into one record per carrier, every day. A record holds DOT and docket numbers, fleet size, authority status and the date authority was first granted, the phone numbers and email the carrier filed, and the truck types seen at its roadside inspections.

Can another agency see my notes or my pipeline?

No. Every workspace is kept separate. Every workspace can search the carrier records themselves; your leads, notes, outcomes and the numbers you add belong to your workspace alone.

What happens to our data?

Your workspace’s leads, notes, outcomes and contracts are kept separate from every other workspace and used only to provide the service to you. A Manager can export the workspace’s data at any time. After a workspace is closed its data is kept for up to 12 months in case you come back, or deleted within 30 days if you ask.
