Who we are
Split Next Lane is a product of Ace Way Solutions. Ace Way Solutions, operating as Split Next Lane (“we”, “us”), decides how the personal data described in this policy is used, with one exception: the records a customer’s team keeps in its own workspace. For those, the customer decides and we only store and process them on the customer’s behalf.
For anything about your data, email support@splitnextlane.com.
What we hold, and why
- Your account. Your name, email address, phone number and password (stored as a hash, never in readable form). We use it to create your account, sign you in and send you messages about the service. Basis: our contract with you.
- Your workspace. The leads, notes, contact outcomes, contracts, documents and text templates your team records. Each workspace is kept separate from every other. We use it only to provide the service to that workspace. Basis: our contract with the customer.
- Feature suggestions. What you suggest through Help, with your account, email address, workspace and the page you were on. We use it to decide what to build and to tell you about it. When your account is closed, your details are removed from it; the suggestion itself is kept. Basis: our legitimate interest in improving the service.
- Billing. Payments are taken by our payment provider. We receive your name, email address, country, what you bought and whether it was paid. We never receive or store card details. Basis: our contract with you, and the law on business records.
- Support and contact. What you write to us in a support ticket, by email or through our contact form, with your name and email address. We use it to answer you. Basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.
- Technical records. Your IP address, browser type, and the time of sign-ins and requests. We use them to keep the service secure, to limit abuse and to fix faults. Basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
Carrier records
Split Next Lane includes records of US motor carriers, built from public government records and other sources, researched, cleaned and combined by us: company names, business addresses and contact details, registration numbers, and the names of company officers. We hold it so our customers can find carriers to offer their dispatch service to. Basis: our and our customers’ legitimate interest in business-to-business sales. If you are a carrier and want to ask about, correct or object to how your record is used, email support@splitnextlane.com.
The side panel for Chrome
The SplitNextLane side panel is an extension for Google Chrome. It shows your own SplitNextLane account in Chrome’s side panel, beside your dialer.
- What it does. When you press one of its shortcuts, it copies the lead’s phone number or your message. If you have that setting on, it also types it where your cursor is, as a paste would. It acts only when you press the key, and to type it looks only at which field has your cursor.
- What it does not do. It does not read the content of other websites, including your dialer’s, and it does not read your cookies or passwords. It sends nothing to anyone except your own SplitNextLane account.
- What it handles. The carrier contact details shown in your CRM: names, phone numbers and email addresses. These are personal data. They are not sold, and they are not used for anything except showing your account and copying or typing them when you ask.
Cookies
- This website sets no cookies of its own. Any visitor analytics we use are privacy-first and cookie-free.
- Videos. Our training videos are hosted on YouTube and shown in the guides in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): YouTube sets no cookie until you play a video. When you play one, YouTube handles it under its own privacy policy.
- The product uses only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and one that protects forms against forgery. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who receives data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Our payment provider, which takes payment and holds your payment details under its own privacy policy.
- The providers that run the service for us: hosting and database (Railway), network, website and file storage (Cloudflare), and the sending of service email such as sign-in and password messages (Resend), and delivery of contact form messages (Web3Forms). They may use the data only to provide that service to us.
- YouTube, which hosts our training videos, when you play one (see Cookies above).
- Advisers and authorities, where we need professional advice or the law requires us to disclose something.
Where data is processed
Our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be stored and processed outside the country you live in. We use established providers and rely on the safeguards they give for such transfers.
How long we keep it
- Account and workspace data: for as long as the workspace exists, and for up to 12 months after it is closed in case you come back. Ask us and we will delete it sooner, within 30 days.
- Backups: kept for a short rolling period and then overwritten.
- Support and contact messages: up to 24 months after the last message.
- Technical records: a limited period, normally no longer than 90 days.
- Billing records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, to correct it, to delete it, to stop or limit how we use it, or to send it to you in a form you can take elsewhere. Email support@splitnextlane.com and we will answer within 30 days. A Manager can also export a workspace’s data at any time from inside the product.
If your details were recorded by one of our customers in their workspace, we will pass your request to that customer, who decides how that record is used. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Security
Connections to Split Next Lane are encrypted. Passwords are stored as hashes, each workspace is isolated from every other, and access to our systems is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will tell you as the law requires.
Children
Split Next Lane is a business tool. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly hold data about children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and we will tell you about a significant change by email or in the product.
