When a carrier tells you to stop calling, record it straight away.
- Open the lead.
- Under Log an activity, choose Do not contact.
That logs the call and flags the carrier. From then on, the lead’s page says that this carrier asked not to be contacted, who recorded it, and when.
What it does and does not do
It warns; it does not lock. If someone goes to contact the carrier anyway, they are asked: Do Not Contact is set on this lead. Go ahead anyway? Calls are not blocked, because there are honest reasons to call back, such as returning a call the carrier made to you. The warning is there so it is never an accident.
To clear it
Open the lead and choose Clear Do Not Contact. The lead’s owner can clear it, and so can a Manager.
